Szlachetka in the second league debuted three years ago, in his hometown, Kraków. Then he moved to Władysławowo. In the first year of secondary school, under supervision of Mariusz Niedbalski, he played for 17 minutes on average and during this time he scored 6.3 points and 2.3 assists per match. In the summer he was a member of the U18 national team run by Marcin Kloziński and played in the U18 European Championships Division B. Only a year later, the point guard achieved a considerable progress in skills. Thanks to that, he enjoyed a lot of trust from the coach who used him a much larger time. Szlachetka played an average of 30 minutes in each game. Our new point guard at that time scored 16.5 points, 5.6 assists and 1.6 steals per match. In addition, in the U20 Polish Championship, he played in the AGH Korona Kraków, with which he finally took the 7th place, being one of the team's leaders.
After three seasons spent in the second league Szlachetka decided to try play at the stronger league. The choice fell on GTK Gliwice. - I want to develop further. Gliwice is a good place to move forward. I will be able to improve my skills and gain valuable experience. I'm going to fight for every minute on the floor - announces the youngster. - It was also important for me that they would be close to home (Krakow - editorial note) - he adds.
Daniel Dawdo from Kłodzko, in senior basketball made his debut when he was just 14 years old! During this period, played six games for Zetkama Dorala Nysa in the 2nd league and in the winning playoff game for the promotion to the higher division against AZS AGH Krakow. In the same season as part of the clubs agreement, together with his twin brother Konrad, they also played in Chromik Żary, with whom they won the title of U16 Polish Champions. In addition, he performed in the U16 Polish national team. After a successful season, both brothers moved to Rosa Radom, whom is famed from giving a chance young players. In it Daniel Dawdo first appeared in U18 and later in U20 team. From the 2016/17 season, he attended the SMS PZKosz Władysławowo. In the last season the player played like a small forward and recorded on average: 3.5 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.7 steals per game within 13 minutes of the game.
Like Szlachetka, Dawdo decided to move to the club at the first league after finishing school. - GTK is a great opportunity for further development. Playing and training with other players with higher skills should pay off. I do not conceal that it was important for me that the team was significantly rejuvenated, and this should give me a chance to play - marks the graduate of the SMS. - It's nice that Mateusz came to the club next to me. It's always nice to have a familiar person around you, but it was not a decisive factor for me to go to Gliwice - he adds.
Let us remind you that another GTK player, Kacper Radwański, also graduated the school in Władysławowo.
