In the season 2018/19, Szymon Kiwilsza will play in GTK Gliwice. Measuring 201 cm center comes to our club from AZS Koszalin. - I like how the club is developing. This is a project with a future. The coach was also important - explains the 20 year old basketball player.
Kiwilsza has - just like GTK - the first season in the Energa Basket Liga. In his native Koszalin,played for AZS, he performed on average for 14 minutes. During this time, on average, he noted: 3.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, 0.5 steals and 0.4 blocks per game. - First of all, I wanted to see what the game looks like at this level and slowly enter the competition with the best. I am happy with this first season in EBL. Now, however, I want to take another step in my career that’s why I decided to change the club - admits the player who played against GTK Gliwice in the first league when he played for Jamalex Polonia 1912 Leszno. GTK played then with this team five games, and in two of them, Kivilsza played very well, scoring 20 and 15 points.

The coach was also important - admits Kivilsza, who also consulted his decision with another trainer. - I spoke with Tomasz Niedbalski, with whom I worked during my two year stay in Wrocław. His opinion was very important to me - adds new GTK player. He already knows what he would like to achieve in the upcoming competitions. - The goal is to spend as many minutes on the floor as possible and develop all the time. I would also like to make a few surprises as a whole team and be such a team, with which opponent will play uncomfortably - Kiwilsza enumerates. - The human set seems to be very interesting and I am convinced that we will create a team with character who will leave the heart on each floor during the match - he adds at the end.
