The fifth win in the preparatory season has become a fact. On Wednesday, after the thriller, our team defeated the local BK Nowa Huta team in Ostrava by a difference of one point (86:85). One of the main character was Riley LaChance.The excellent finish and big throws of LaChance - this is what decided the final success of the team led by Paweł Turkiewicz. Seven minutes before the end the situation was not good, because our rivals led 77:64. Then the victorious ran of Gliwice began.
Everything started with 2 + 1 Damonte Dodd. After a while, when throwing a corner behind the arc was LaChance - the ball fell into the basket, and our sniper added a shot from the free-throw line. The next action brought Piotr Robak's points and in two minutes almost all losses were made.
At the end also defensive had bib inluence. The hosts had problems finding open positions, and the speeding GTK finally fled after the triumph, which LaChance sealed from the free-throw line. His points gave led 86:83. The hosts had three points shot for a draw, but they did not use it and the win went to Gliwice.
Such a big comeback definitely builds a good atmosphere in the team. It should also pay off during the Energa Basket Liga or Alpe Adria Cup season.
